The 2009 Weekend of Champions is set!

Plus... The S.O.A.R. Dunk team will also be joining us for a high flying dunk fest!

Cost: $20 Before October 23rd, $30 Late Registration
(Cost includes All activites, Dinner and snacks Saturday, Breakfast Sunday, FCA t-shirt, and lodging...on gym floor*

What is it?
The Weekend of Champions is an event for all Jr. and Sr. High FCA Groups, Youth Groups, and Sports Team across Kentucky. It's an action packed 24 lock-in that seeks to "influence Kentucky for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches!" Each "team" or "school" will compete as against other schools in the FCA Super Sports Competition (Free throws, Sit-ups, Push-ups, Golf Shot, Football Throw, 400 M, 1 Mile, Soccer Relay, and more!) so you will want to encourage your schools best to come and bring their "A game!" Teams are paired up with a college aged, FCA trained, athlete for "huddles" and supervision through out the weekend where students are encouraged to ask questions about the messages and explore their faith among their peers. Buzz Groups are offered on Saturday where students can attend a facilitated discussion on a wide variety of topics. This is FCA's largest event of the year! We hope that you will make plans to attend!

*NEW - Optional Lodging Opportunities! - Due to the increased number of participants and our desire to improve the sleeping conditions for this event we are encouraging groups to consider staying at one of the many nearby hotels. We also are working to make arrangements for groups to stay at local churches. If your group would like to inquire about this, please contact us asap! Here are some close options with special pricing:

Red Roof Inn. We do have some spaces reserved. Contact us for rsvp code. The cost, which is one of the lowest in the area is $71.99 (you can put four in a room). Hotel 859.277.9400.

Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Some roooms available at $99. May have to reserve for Friday and Saturday night, depending on UK Football Gametime. 859.224.3338

Hampton Inn. Very few rooms left the last time we checked. $99. 859.223.0088

Homewood Suites (Ruccio Way). Suites ($119) sleep up to 6 people and some that sleep 4 ($104). Call Latonya Jackson at 859 223 0880. Really close to LCA!

To Register:
GROUPS: Group leaders, coaches, parents, youth leaders, mail check's payable to "FCA" to 2201 Regency Road, Suite 602 Lexington, KY along with a list of the names, ages, emergency contact, and email of those attending. Below is a excell sheet for group leaders to use and send in to us.
