In Central Kentucky, our FCA staff is working to do the very same thing. By taking the Gospel to local athletes and coaches, providing schools with FCA Huddles, and local teams with FCA Character Coaches, FCA is changing lives. They also offer unique local camp opportunities for athletes of all types: basketball, golf, tennis, wrestling and football. I was excited to be a guest speaker last summer at one of the nation’s only FCA Team Golf camps held here in Central Kentucky!
Join me, and support our local staff, as we play in the 2010 FCA Golf Challenge, September 13. When you accept the “Challenge,” you enable our staff to continue their work inside locker rooms and on playing fields across the Bluegrass. See you September 13!”

WHEN IS THE EVENT?
September 13, 2010 @ The Bull Golf Course
Noon Shotgun Start
(But NOW is the time to accept the challenge...)
WHAT IS THE "CHALLENGE"?
This event is an 18 hole scramble format golf tournament where each team is challenged to raise as much money as possible for FCA. Prizes are awarded for the lowest scores on the day of event, but the top prizes are awarded for the teams that raise the most support for FCA. This year those prizes include a week vacation at the Inner Banks, NC (first) and Fort Walton Beach, Fl (second). In addition, individuals meeting the fund-raising goal will be awarded special prizes! For a complete breakdown of prizes see the Player Handbook.
HOW DO I RAISE SUPPORT?
Actually we will help you! The goal for each player is to raise $1000 for FCA. This can be accomplished several different ways. We have found that if you will send 50 letters asking for support that you will exceed this goal! Simply download the FCA Address Spreadsheet, send email it to us here by August 1st along with your custom letter (optional) and we will mail your support letter to your friends, family, and business contacts. In addition, we will mail the contacts a Response Form and FCA Fact Sheet. You simply follow up the letter with a call or email! All we ask is that you give it a try!
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
First, Read through the Players Handbook carefully. Then, contact our office if you are up for the "challenge" and we will place you on a team. If you would like to be a Team Captain, then that would be excellent! A Team Captain's job is to find three other players also willing to accept the challenge! Many have found that pooling resources and working with teammates is a great way to approach the fund raising. Rather than "you" raising support it's "we" are seeking to support FCA!
